Cell Phone Coverage on the AT
The attached picture for this blog post shows Adam holding up his cell phone on a rocky summit of a mountain we climbed in the Shenandoah Nat'l Park.
Getting a signal for one of our phones has proved tricky. Adam bought a Page Plus phone and service since their advertisement said they work off Verizon towers. However what we have discovered is that at best this particular service enables us to send texts. So surprisingly my T- Mobile phone has thus far provided the best means for phone calls.
It really helps to talk to loved ones along the way. Almost all the news from home has been very positive. Renee, mom and Jack appear to be doing a great job of holding down the fort.
Renee is this week in Boone, NC and will be leading a seminar starting tomorrow, April 27. She will be training folks how to tell the stories found in the first story cloth. Please pray for her.
Having cell phone coverage today meant I got to read an email from K K Gilbert. She said she is praying that every step I take will result in a Bible and new disciple. Wow! Now that is a God-sized prayer. That has really encouraged me tonight.
So feel free to send me a text or email on my Gmail account. Who knows, your word of encouragement might just get me over the next mountain.
